  • Neal is an investor, director, former CFO, and strategic advisor for select clients. Neal provides leadership at pivotal moments, empowering teams to diagnose business problems and set up mechanisms that drive accelerated business performance.

    Neal helped grow, scale, transform and exit multiple companies, leading to very large increases in shareholder value and highly successful liquidity events for shareholders, including the sale of Business Objects, a software company, to SAP for $6 billion, and securing Blackstone as a capital partner for Westland Insurance.

    Neal has also led profitability and cash-flow transformation programs resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars of additional profit and cash-flow. He played leadership roles in the $1 billion acquisition and integration of Crystal Decisions by Business Objects, as well as the integration of the $6 billion sale of Business Objects to SAP.

    Neal has helped negotiate and integrate over 40 acquisitions, and in the process, developed internal M&A processes capable of completing acquisitions at a pace of one every two weeks.

    Neal has led equity and debt financings, including large private equity investments, a secondary public offering of shares, a sale to a strategic buyer, and forming a highly functioning debt syndicate of seven lenders.

    Neal started his career at Ernst & Young and is a CPA, CA, speaks Spanish fluently, and has extensive global experience.

His personal mission is to inspire leaders and help teams perform so that millions of people have a better human experience of work. As founder of the SupportingLines Institute, Jeff has created a data-driven, academically-validated method to cultivate high-performance culture. His primary research directly connects the human experience of work to key performance indicators such as revenue growth.

    Jeff’s ability to support leader and organizational transformation comes from a successful 20-year leadership career as a COO, CFO and global sales VP across multiple industries and cultures. His approach to relationships has helped generate $8 billion in new revenue, supported the integration of $10 billion in mergers & acquisitions and successfully led corporate turnarounds. Jeff has 20 years’ experience on non-profit boards and received Business in Vancouver’s Forty Under 40 award (2011).
