Predict = pre + dict =before + speak （在事件发生前就先说）=预言

2.N-VAR     可变名词祝福 You can refer to something that makes people feel protected and at peace as a benediction .

Malediction（n.）=说不好的话=诅咒

Contradict（v.）= against +speak=反驳，矛盾

她不敢反驳他。

His comments appeared to contradict remarks made earlier in the day by the chairman...

Abdicate（v.）=away（离开）+speak= 宣布离开=退位
