Tuesday 29th October at the Jubilee Tavern, Burntisland, 7.30 pm Yes Burntisland – open meeting to find out more about the Yes Campaign. Come along if you are undecided or have questions.
Chair – Councillor George Kay
Guests:
Mike Small – editor Bella Caledonia, Secretary, Scottish Independence Convention Paul Leinster – Labour for Independence Lesley Backhouse – Women for Independence
Join Yes Kirkcaldy for an open meeting – “Imagine A Better Scotland: A conversation about what independence could mean”.
Scotland is the 8th richest country in the world, yet 1 in 5 children live below the poverty line, average life expectancy in some areas is as low as 62 years, and every week sees new food banks opening the length and breadth of Scotland. We can do better than this.
Join us for a discussion about the type of country Scotland could be.
This open, public and free meeting is being held at St Bryce Kirk, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1ET ( click here for a map link) on Friday 8th November 2013, starting at 7:30pm.
Our guests include:
Lesley Riddoch: journalist and most recently author of Blossom. Robin McAlpine: Director, Jimmy Reid Foundation Ross Ingebrigtsen: Head of media and communications for the SNP Alastair Bruce: Yes Kirkcaldy volunteer
We want to reach as many undecided voters as possible, so if you have a family member, friend, work colleague or know anyone else who has still to make up their mind on independence, pass on the details or bring them along on the night.
You can find more details and RSVP for the event via the Yes Scotland events section.
For more information on this fantastic evening, and on getting involved in the Yes campaign across Fife and beyond, get in touch with Les Wilson on [email protected] or Marie Penman on [email protected].
We are supported only by our readers. We don't have corporate backers and we don't take advertising, so we rely entirely on your support.
And if I can put in a wee plug for a Stirling meeting, which should be an excellent event.
Dennis Canavan and Elaine C.Smith in conversation.
